RCT Range

 

Opencircuit, counter-flow, evaporative cooling towers with forced draft centrifugal fan, air inlet on one side, air outlet vertically upwards.

 

RCT Range:

The casing, cold water basin, the fan enclosure and the casings of the inlet and outlet attenuators are of glass reinforced Polyester (GRP), colourde in the mould.

V-RCT Range:

The casing, cold water basin, the fan enclosure and the casings of the inlet and outlet attenuators are of V2A-stainless steel.

The fill and drift eliminator are of PVC, the water distributer is of polyethylene with spray nozzels screwed in.

The fan scroll is mounted in a hot dipped galvanised steel frame. The fan wheel with forwards slanting blades is of galvanised steel and is positioned in the incoming dry air stream. The robust bearings have extended grease nipples for easier service. The drive is over V-belts and pulleys, with a B3 motor, enclosure IP54, for out side use.

The fan enclosure has by larger models a supporting frame of hot dipped galvanised steel (only RCT Range).

The attenuator damping elements are of mineral wool, impervious to moisture in a galvanised frame.

The cooling tower including fan enclosure and inlet attenuator (if ordered) is mounted on a hot dipped galvanised frame and will be delivered in one piece. The frame has crane lifting points.

Due to transport restrictions the outlet attenuator will be delivered seperately. After the cooling tower has been positioned on the foundation and secured, the attenuator is to be placed on the cooling tower and screwed down.

The water inlet and outlet are smooth pipe ends, rubber hose connections with pipe clips are supplied, alternatively flanges can be supplied to order. Other connections have pipe threads. Supports in the cooling tower casing are of GRP or stainless steel. All screws and nuts used are of stainless steel.
